Christmas
This time of year is so exciting! I've never celebrated Christmas with a significant other, so this is perfect that this year I get to celebrate with my husband! We put up our Christmas lights outside, (well Eric did it I just kept him company). We also decorated our tree and it is perfect ! We bought some nifty ornaments to put on, as well as the ones I made as a child, my mom let me have. It was so fun! as I think about all the friends I've made this past year and all that I have changed in my life, I am feeling blessed. In 2013 I found my husband, I moved 6 hours away from home ..I'm a big girl now! And I just want everyone to remember maybe not every year my husband won't be as lucky to be abler to come home for Christmas. We have been so blessed with leave and such. I am constantly thinking of my friends who's significant others aren't able to come home for Christmas. <3 this year there were a lot of firsts and I'm so thankful for god keeping me here everyday to live such an amazing life amen.

This the season!
To Eric and I just got back home from being in Florida for thanksgiving! What fun we had. We stayed at my dads house (thank you Chaz and dad for your hospitality!) we were busy every day we were home! We tried to see everyone, even got to see my cousin who was in the Macy's parade and flew back Into town the day before we had to leave to come back! Before thanksgiving I was hesitant to get out any Christmas decorations, Eric too..so he promised we would decorate when we get back. I'm so excited. This weekend we will be busy! It's such a special time. Ever since we've been talking about having a house together we both were so excited about Christmas time! We will be following a tradition Eric's family has hich is drinking hot cocoa while putting the tree up. :) I can't wait to see what our cat Athena does when she sees the tree. I can't believe this year is almost over. Lots to look forward to..my birthday our first valentines day and then our wedding in April! I'm so excited and so blessed. Never would have thought id get married if you would have asked me at the beginning of this year. And I wouldn't want it any other way. I love my husband , our family and our life <3
Tis the season!!!

Sunday!
This week/weekend has been quite eventful! Last Monday, we went to Beaufort cemetary and had lunch, and dinner out. It was so nice. I'm so proud of my husband. Then, I begged him to come with me to look at cats. I have wanted a little friend to take care of since we got here. So...being the amazing man he is, we went and looked. The first cat that came up to us we loved. Her name is Athena. And she is super sweet and playful. She talks to me and of course I talk back to her :) with that being said we left the shelter without her :( we had to "talk it over" as most married couples do. My husband could tell I really really wanted her. She is perfect. So, Tuesday morning he went back to work, and i called the shelter trying to get any more info about this cat. Like the price and when could we adopt and such. When my husband came home from work he says "I have to get a duffle bag at Walmart for my PT gear wanna go?" He knows I hate shopping so he just accepted the fact that I didn't wanna go and said ok how about you cook dinner while I'm gone" so I did. He was gone an hour. I was starting to worry. He comes back I'm a little upset at this point I had dinner all set up ready to eat, and he walks in...with the cat in his hands!!! Omg did in ever mention how amazing he is!!! Haha.
So we went out and got food and supplies for our baby. She's amazing I love her so much. <3
Fast forward to Friday. Mixed emotions. My car which I've had for about two years, the car that you have to lock before you close it so it will latch properly, the car that back left window is stuck down, the car that CD player doesn't work, the car that I love very much..was time to say goodbye. We decided instead of renting a car every time we go to Florida, we should just get a new one. So...we did. A beautiful 4 door ford focus. 2012. No more embarrassing car rides in the poor Sonota. I'm so blessed. My husband loves me and we have a beautiful cat, and a fabulous car! Can't wait to go home to see the family 10 days from today! :)

Think about this..
Good afternoon, from SC! Today we got back to the grind after four days of amazingness with my handsome I always enjoy days off! :) but of course back to work, for me too..hmm what to have for dinner? Applying for jobs, and cleaning up a bit. I still can't believe we have our own house. Blows my mind. I'm so lucky. And thankful. It's so different here in sc. I do miss my family but I really do love it here. It's so quiet. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. My husband is the best! We always find ourselves laughing and joking which is how it should be. Which brings me to the topic of today. There's been some losses in some friends lives and I just want to take time to say how sorry I am. It really makes you appreciate life. You could be so excited to spend the weekend with your boyfriend at the marine corps ball and at the airport waiting for your flight and boom. Your life is changed forever I can't say it enough. Sometimes I giggle because Eric says "I love you" at the most random times but in time of loss and sadness It makes me think. If anything were to happen we both say I love you. It can happen so sudden. My husband goes to work every day even excersising on his lunch break. It's not just deployment that I worry about. I'm always worried because anything coul happen at anytime. I just want to say to anyone reading make sure you hug your S/O because anything can happen. <3 in so excited to go home to Florida for Thanksgiving! :) I can't wait to spend it with both Eric and my families <3 love you all thanks for reading!

The Ball!
Our ball was so fun! Poor Eric had 24 hour duty the day before so when we got home the day of the ball I was waking up to get ready. I went to get my hair done while Eric slept. I had a dress malfunction but a friend of mine helped fix it and she also did my hair and makeup. Thanks so much girl! We of course were running late ..well Eric kept checking his watch like always. We had our gps, we missed a turn but we finally arrived with 10 minutes to spare! We decided to stay at the hotel that night, it was so nice. We arrived and I met a much of Eric's buddies, everyone looked fabulous. The ceremony was awesome. It makes me so proud that my husband represents this country. It was amazing to hear the history, and hear the man say "you are apart of something bigger than yourself" which is so true. It's not just a job. It's a lifestyle. I'm such a proud wife. Something about all the marines standing at attention while the colors were presented and while the national anthem was played by the parris island band. After the ceremony, dinner was served, as well as some chocolate cake, and a piece of the usmc birthday cake. We then got up and danced and danced and danced. (I love that my husband is a dancer. I can't wait for our wedding!) it was such an amazing experience. I am one proud marine wife <3 happy 238th birthday tomorrow November 10th to the marine corps. :) the hotel was beautiful! And then of course the next day we stopped for pizza and watched 2 movies in the theater before coming back to Beaufort. :) <3

Loving it!
So we've been here in Beaufort SC for almost a month now! We are loving it so far! We settled in just in time to hand out candy on Halloween, although I thought there would be more kids! I love cooking for my husband, and cleaning the house, and being a wife! It's something very new to me..for all that know me I was kinda nervous that I wouldn't be able to adjust. I absolutely love it! Our ball is coming up, as well as thanksgiving which we are going home for! we miss our families but are glad to be making a life for ourselves here in Beaufort! I always dreamed to become a wife one day and take care of my husband and it actually came true! I was also nervous about the cooking part, but I'm pretty proud of myself! Our first meal was tacos! I've made quite a few yummy meals, I even used the crock pot on Halloween! Eric and I also like to cook together which is nice! I can't wait for people to come visit us! And I'm also planning our wedding in between. I love the weather here, it's beautiful! And the roads! They're all speed limit like 55 with hardly any lights! It's like driving on back roads which they don't have many of those where I'm from! I love my life with my amazing husband!!!
